You are free to find and follow your own spiritual path. Our beliefs may be diverse, but we celebrate in community. In the words of Gini Courter, UUA Moderator, "while most are people of the creed, we are people of the covenant. Our promises to one another are what define us and our magic is our authentic relationship to each other." If you visit and feel that you, too, have come home, you may want to join. The joining process is simple, yet, becoming part of our covenantal community is an intentional commitment. After you fill out and return your membership card, you are a member. You will be contacted by our Membership Committee and receive a New Member Packet filled with a plethora of information. At the new member’s ceremony, you will sign our membership roll, voice the New Member Affirmation, and be welcomed into our community. New Member Affirmation We join as an affirmation of our willingness to support a religious organization whose members are devoted to the search for truth and the establishment of freedom and justice in the world. We seek to understand and fulfill our potential to lead lives of integrity and service, and willingly join our efforts to search for, create, and celebrate meaning in life! Friends of the Fellowship People may, for whatever reason, wish to associate with the Fellowship as a Friend rather than as a Member. Friends of the Fellowship are welcome to participate fully in the life of the Congregation, but they may not vote or hold office. Stewardship and Our Congregation Our community is uniquely enriching for our members, friends, and the community. sharing our spiritual journeys and learning from one another enriches us all. Our continued existence requires the active support – Time, Talent, and Treasure - of our members and friends.
The membership committee (ufhmsc@sbcglobal.net) is happy to answer any questions you may have. | ||
